A senior Army strategist and Pentagon advisor says the United States and other interested parties shouldn’t discount the possibility that North Korea could take some kind of military action against South Korea.
On Wednesday, North Korea made fresh threats just one day after President Barack Obama said it is time to “break” the cycle of North Korean nuclear defiance and Western reward for doing so. In a commentary carried in a government-run newspaper, the communist regime vowed a “one thousand-fold retaliation” and a “merciless military strike” if the U.S. and its allies “infringe upon” North Korea’s sovereignty “even a bit.”
Lt. Col. Bob Maginnis (USA-Ret.) says the North Koreans need to be taken seriously.
